Hailey knew how much I adored her, but this does not play out wherein real disciplinary spankings are concerned. She did make the necessary steps forward as she was told to do previously, so I held out for the most teaching moment of the day, on her already very sore bottom. Her southern roots and her fear in her eyes when she spoke of the switch, made it apparent as to which implement was needed to close out her session with. Months later she still spoke to me about the lasting marks from that switch!
